Looking for a Dentist?

We offer adult dental services as an extra benefit to members. Members age 21 and older can get dental care through DentaQuest*. Adult dental care includes teeth cleaning and oral exam every sixth months and X-rays once a year.

Dental services for members younger than age 21 are covered through the MCNA instead of Amerigroup Louisiana.

Vision Care

Vision Care

Care and treatment of the eyes.

Doctors of optometry look at your eyes to diagnose and treat eye diseases like glaucoma, cataracts and retinal disorders. They prescribe medicines and eyeglasses or contact lenses as well as perform minor emergency procedures.

An ophthalmologist is a specialist in medical and surgical eye problems and deals with the structure, physiology (how it works) and diseases of the eye.

An optician is a person that makes, fits and sells glasses or contact lenses prescribed by ophthalmologists or optometrists.

We offer adult vision care as an extra benefit to members. Adult vision care includes yearly eye exams, glasses (frames and lenses) each year, and $40 toward the cost of nonstandard glasses. Amerigroup members younger than age 21 also receive routine vision services. Vision benefits for Amerigroup Louisiana are provided by Superior Vision (formerly known as Block Vision)*. You do not need a referral for vision care.

Members receive emergency and nonemergency transportation services to all medical, dental, vision and behavioral health services.

Non emergent transportation benefits for Amerigroup members are provided by LogistiCare Solutions.
