How to Renew
We don’t want you or your family to be without health care coverage. You need to renew your NJ FamilyCare eligibility each year.
Keep your benefits by renewing on time!
1. Check your mail
The County Welfare Agency (CWA) will send you a form every year around the same time when you first signed up for your benefits. You may be sent a preprinted form to confirm your income and household size, or you may be sent a blank application to fill out.
2. Renew your eligibility
Complete the form and mail it back before the due date. If you do not renew your eligibility on time, you will risk losing your benefits.
Need some help renewing? Call us!
Call 1-877-453-4080 (TTY 711). We can help you fill out your form and answer any questions.
Didn’t receive your form?
Call NJ FamilyCare at 1-800-701-0710 (TTY 1-800-701-0720) if you didn’t get your form or to find out when it’s time for you to renew.
If you receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments, you automatically get Medicaid and do not need to renew your health care benefits each year.
Your medical condition will be reviewed from time to time to make sure you still qualify for SSI benefits. You’ll get a letter in the mail when it’s time for your review.
